The Bühler SORTEX E1D optical sorter is designed for use directly after the freezer tunnel in processing lines for frozen vegetables, fruit, and berries. It detects color and shape defects and sorts in throughputs of up to 6 tons per hour.
The open design and stainless-steel frame make it easier to access and clean the hoppers, chutes, optical areas, and product contact surfaces. The doors on the SORTEX E1D are sealed to IP56 rating and the electronics protected for wash-down operations.
